Inuyasha: 10 Romantic Pieces of Art Work We Love

It’s no secret that there are a lot of romantic undertones to Inuyasha. The series even started due to a lover’s feud that pinned the main character to a tree. Kagome, another of the main protagonist is the reincarnation of Kikyo, Inuyasha’s former lover. Then there is Miroku who is constantly going after women, and Sango the demon slayer who falls in love with him.

Some of the side characters like Koga are even fueled by romance. That’s all without mentioning the fact that the often emotionless character Sesshomaru was recently revealed to have fallen for a human, much like his father before him and his half brother. To celebrate the series romance, here are ten pictures fans are sure to love.

10School Visit By Mim/石像

In this adorable piece, Inuyasha and Kagome are both in the present time period. It seems that class has just let out and Inuyasha couldn’t wait any longer to see Kagome. This are piece is brought to us by Korean artist mim/石像. The artist has also done several illustrations of Idols and magical girl Saint Tail.

The way the two characters are looking at each other in this piece is just precious.

9Reunion By J-RIN

The story of Inuyasha began with a tragedy, and Kikyo’s pain didn’t end there. She was brought back to life by a witch early in the series much to the dismay of Inuyasha, who still loves her. In order to survive, she is forced to steal souls as seen in this piece of art drawn by J-Rin.

The pair often met in secret after she was brought back. This piece captures the romantic feel of such meetings.

8Like The Wind By 珈琲豆

Sesshomaru and Kagura were briefly teased by the show, but she died before anything could develop further. It’s not known whether Sesshomaru would have started a relationship with her, but he did seem to at least feel sorry for her in the end. This is well depicted in this drawing by 珈琲豆.

The picture even shows Kagura properly saying goodbye to Sesshomaru as she withers away.

7Forgiveness By KiLala

Another fan favorite couple that slowly emerged over the course of the series is Sango and Miroku. Sango often got jealous of Miroku trying to court other girls and ended up slapping him. In this art piece, you can see a red handprint on Miroku’s possibly hinting that he said something out of line.

This piece was created by KiLala who has done several other drawings based on the series.

6Traditional Vows By SUKJA

The saddest thing about the epilogue of the series is that we didn’t get to see any weddings. While it would be hard to include everyone, especially since Kagome’s family is in the future, seeing the two exchange vows would be wonderful. The artist has both the bride and groom in traditional Japanese wedding clothes.

This piece was drawn by SUKJA and even includes Shippo, the two’s adopted young fox demon.

5Kiss By もとび

This drawing depicts future Kagome and Inuyasha sharing a kiss together. By the relaxed way they are enjoying time together it’s safe to assume everything has settled down from there adventure. In the manga the couple never actually kissed like in the anime, so pictures depicting affection are highly loved by fans.

This beautiful drawing was done by もとび who loves to draw the pair.

4Protection By オレコ

After Kikyo was brought back to life, it’s revealed that despite her looming powers, she is quite fragile. This leads Inuyasha to run to her aid many times without the series, often making it just in time to help her. This angers Kagome, as Inuyasha has a tough time letting go of his first love.

This protective picture of the half-demon is drawn by オレコ.

3Gentle Kiss By オレコ

In a more playful pose is Miroku and Sango, who look like they found a flower field to spend time in. The gorgeous pink flowers compliment the characters perfectly, and it’s nice to see Miroku being so gentle with Sango, who may even be his wife already in this drawing.

This picture is drawn by オレコ who loves to draw manga styled panels.

This is another drawing of future Miroku and Sango, that is simply precious. The two seem to have just finished saying vows at their wedding and are dressed to impress. The artist even made sure to include Sango’s younger brother Kohaku in the event, who is most likely Miroku’s best man.
